Letter: Bush is one to talk about principles
Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 | 7:29 a.m.
President Bush, during his news conference Thursday, stressed that the No. 1 thing he will be looking at among the presidential candidates is their principles. Oh my.
Reading about all the people killed in this war, how can anyone possibly say what Mr. Bush's principles are when it comes to doing the right thing?
If his principles were about doing the right thing, both of his daughters would have been sent to fight evil in Iraq. If his principles were in the right order, we wouldn't be spending $3 trillion trying to fix up a country on the other side of the world.
If his principles were right, he would be asking Gov. Jim Gibbons how he could be of assistance in helping the Nevada school system. If Bush were to stand up and tell the world that we, as a country, need to transfer our money and effort to helping rebuild New Orleans, helping with Nevada's educational crisis, and taking care of business here on our own property, I think the world would understand that.
As it stands, the poor impostor doesn't even know he wasn't voted president of the world, just of America.
