Letter: Clearly, clean energy is the smart way to go

Is it too much to look for a better way to get from here to there instead of sending out more pollution and having to use up what fossil fuels we have? I, for one, love my clean air - what's left of it. And I want better and more efficient ways of getting from here to there or, if we are not careful, there will be no there to get to.

Our abuse of our environment, by having coal-fired power plants, atomic energy, oil and, yes, ethanol, is a killer of our country. By the way, where are you going to get the water to move the coal to the power plants that are proposed for eastern Nevada? And where are you going to get the water to manufacture ethanol? In short, Nevada has no extra water for such schemes.

The wind towers take no water or coal, and solar panels use no ethanol.
