Letter: President is reliving the Iraq lie with Iran
Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 | 7:08 a.m.
Is our War President (George Bush's words) a liar or just plain dumb? He definitely is lacking in mental activity.
He receives a report, the National Intelligence Estimate, that the nuclear weapons program in Iran was suspended four years ago, and then on Wednesday he says he wants Tehran to "come clean" about this very same program. He says it has the capability to make weapons. The very same words he used about Saddam Hussein even though weapons of mass destruction were not found in Iraq.
Are we going to war with every country capable of making weapons?
He also is under the impression that the National Intelligence Estimate made it clear he was right all along. This is incredible!
If his staff (Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley and others) knew about the National Intelligence Estimate and said nothing, they should be fired. If the president knew of the report when he said we are headed for World War III because of Iran's nuclear weapons program, then he should be impeached.
How he interprets this report is inconceivable and astounding. My feeling is he is a pathological liar and actually believes what he is saying. How we can survive 13 more months is beyond me.
