Well I don't know why I came here tonight,

I got the feeling that something ain't right,

I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,

And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs,

Clowns to the left of me,

Jokers to the right, here I am,

Stuck in the middle with you.

Now I think I finally know what Stealers Wheel was singing about.

I didn't know the clowns were rodeo clowns.

I didn't know the jokers were British fight fans.

And I don't know what's going to happen when they get together on the same evening in Las Vegas on Saturday, when Ricky Hatton, the pride of Manchester, England, faces Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand Garden - just a few blocks from the National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center.

But at least it shouldn't be too hard to tell them apart.
