Letter: Democrats, not Bush, deserving of blame
Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 | 9:01 a.m.
In response to the Aug. 26 letter "What has Bush done to deserve approval?":
Madelyn Olds' letter was full of typical liberal talking points and should be taken as one large bumper sticker. She needs to get her facts straight and understand how the economy works.
Ask John Edwards what the sub prime lender he invested in/worked for is doing to homeowners in New Orleans. Ask Congress why businesses aren't thriving. If my memory serves me correctly, it is not President Bush who seeks to tax businesses more or take their profits. I think that's what Democrats want to do.
Ask Bill Clinton about all the subhumans he pardoned. Get over it. "Scooter" Libby will not go to jail . If I remember correctly, Congress has much more control over the finances of this country than Bush does - but wait, Congress is controlled by Democrats, so it has to be Bush's fault.
If the media reports are true, Congress cannot seem to get anything done. If it was America's will to cut and run from Iraq, our efficient and honest Congress would have been able to grant the people its wishes, right? I am still waiting for integrity, transparency and honesty from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her ilk. Where is it?
I bet it's Bush's fault that Pelosi has to hide, scheme and lie. Why don't you talk about Congress' approval rating ? It's a fascinating number to behold. You can't blame Bush for that. Try Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. They are Democrats.
