Letter: We are taking wrong approach to recycling
Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 | 7:07 a.m.
I'm responding to your Aug. 20 editorial "Wrong approach to recycling."
When will it dawn on Nevada and especially Republic Services that you cannot let people throw away unrestricted and unlimited amounts of anything they want twice every week for one fee that covers all and expect to encourage recycling.
The lack of a recycling tax on beverage containers and no recycling bins at major apartment and condo complexes say it all. It is the wrong approach to recycling.
