Letter: Smoke causes cancer; cancer kills people
Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 | 7:07 a.m.
This is in response to Mark Cinotto's letter of Aug. 16, in which he said nonsmokers have cost people their jobs, and that nonsmokers "do not get it."
No, Mr. Cinotto, you and other smokers are the ones who don't get it. It has obviously escaped you that cigarettes cause cancer and cancer kills. If cooks, buspeople and other restaurant people lose their jobs, so be it. It's better than losing their lives.
I suggest, Mr. Cinotto, if you continue to pursue your smoking habit , that you had better make arrangements at the funeral home of your choice. You are going to be a customer before your natural time has come.
