Letter: Nightmare in Iraq just keeps getting worse
According to the article, approximately 190,000 AK-47 rifles and pistols given to Iraqi security forces since 2004 are unaccounted for, and at least 30 percent of those weapons may now be in the hands of insurgents. In other words, weapons paid for by American taxpayers are now being used to kill American soldiers.
Public kept in the dark on potential conflicts in higher ed
Nevada System of Higher Education rules designed to inform UNLV officials about potential conflicts of interest among university employees earning outside income also allow officials to withhold that information from the public.
Letter: War in Iraq robs U.S. infrastructure
Furthermore, millions of Americans remain medically uninsured, colleges have had to raise tuition and curtail programs. Surely the list goes on, and we continue to pay taxes, but fail to see a reasonable return on our tax dollar investment.
Editorial: A sickening situation
Formaldehyde is commonly used or present in building materials, such as the composite wood and plywood used in the construction of the trailers, and exposure generally is airborne. 'Not the way we wanted it to be'
Women and children stuffed into the meeting room at Buena Vista Springs, folding sheets of paper titled "Dear Resident" into fans.
Editorial: Our enemy, our weapons
About 190,000 rifles and pistols issued by the U.S. military to Iraqis between 2004 and early this year are missing, according to a new report by the Government Accountability Office.
Editorial: Money alone not enough
We joined them Sunday, in an editorial calling on Congress to appropriate billions for bridges, roads, water projects and other infrastructure known to be in need of repairs.

Clinton will walk in nurse's shoes for a day
Sen. Hillary Clinton, whose greatest disappointment was her failure to reform the American health care system when she had the chance to in the 1990s, will work the health care issue on a slightly smaller scale this month - as a shift nurse at one of Southern Nevada's St. Rose Dominican Hospitals.
Letter: U.S. citizenry right to oppose wrongs
As much as it is his right as a Bush apologist to present his own perspective on the similarity between how the Vietnam War was conducted and how the Iraq war is being conducted, the following are some similarities of the two conflicts from the perspective of the majority of the population of the U.S.:
They would have been Kings
