Letter: Bush, Cheney and private health insurance

Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 | 7:17 a.m.

When asked about health insurance for all Americans, President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Nevada Sen. John Ensign all blather on about how that should be left to the private sector; in other words, private health insurance. I welcome any of them to come to Nevada and try to buy it.

Bush has had too many polyps to qualify. If they covered him at all they would waiver polyps out - and not cover anything to do with those pesky little colon balls. I call it cherry-picking. No preexisting conditions allowed. It's enough to make you sick.

Cheney can flat out forget it. Way, way too many heart attacks and pacemakers for him. He'd be turned down faster than you can say Walter Reed!

Sen. Ensign reminds me of some sort of a robo mutant, always spouting the same party line as Bush and Cheney. I suspect they are all anti people.

Here's the challenge, boys. If you are so for private insurance, please find me some.

My stats are as follows: female, 62, nonsmoker, normal weight, married, healthy, slightly elevated blood pressure that is well controlled. I'd settle for a high deductible or hospital - only coverage. Oh, by the way, it has to be affordable.

The gauntlet is down. This should be good for a laugh.
