FLASHPOINT for Apr 20, 2007
Friday, April 20, 2007 | 7:22 a.m.
Chuck Muth, the smash-mouth activist who hates taxes and all-day kindergarten, is having a field day this session. But not in the way you might think. Muth has been unleashing verbal assaults on Republicans - notably Assembly Minority Leader Garn Mabey. Muth seems to think Republicans ought to adhere to a no-tax pledge many signed before the session. And he acts as if Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment is for wimps. Just this week, Muth eviscerated Mabey for taxing comments: "As I teach my children, as I hope you do yours, a promise made should be a promise kept." Muth once ran against Dina Titus and loves pounding her, too. But his fearlessness and refusal to edit himself reminds me of ... well, better not say it.
