Letter: Public corruption matches Chicago’s

Just short of 75 years ago, I was born and raised in Chicago. I always thought political corruption ran rampant there.

After residing 16 years in Las Vegas, one can see corruption among our elected officials here, easily as bad or worse than Chicago.

Now there is a question about Gov. Jim Gibbons and his wife relative to influence peddling.

Whenever I hear a politician talk about his or her "public service," I know they are really speaking about their greedy self-service.

No wonder voters stay away from the polls - they are disgusted.
