Letter: Call Bush what he is - a liar
Tuesday, April 10, 2007 | 7:17 a.m.
I watched the recent anti-war protest on the news. There were numerous signs saying "Bush Lied." I also heard Sen. Harry Reid say that President Bush misled the American people. We should stop pussyfooting around. The signs and Sen. Reid correctly should have said, "Bush is a liar."
There were never any weapons of mass destruction. Osama bin Laden was not in Iraq. We should never have gone to war in Iraq. Neither Iraqis nor Americans should have been killed or wounded.
Our highly trained American soldiers should be returned home. They could build that wall on our border with Mexico. They could evict illegal aliens. They could police our border so mass illegal immigration would never occur again. Rather than forcing democracy on Iraq or policing the world, our tax money could be used to secure our country and make it a safer, better-educated home.
The war in Iraq should not end in July or 2008 or "when the job is done." It should end now! Bring our warriors home.
