FLASHPOINT for Sep 18, 2006
Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 | 7:16 a.m.
No one has more chutzpah than gubernatorial contender Dina Titus. She sent a missive to her supporters last week talking about how she is "rolling to victory" but needs financial support to keep on rolling. Why does she need the money? Because her opponent, Jim Gibbons, is ducking confrontations and his "attack ads are flooding the airwaves." Well, Gibbons won't go everywhere Titus will - that's a given. But he has agreed to four statewide, televised confrontations, which is unprecedented. And he has agreed to appear on "Face to Face" next month, too. So that dog doesn't hunt anymore. And as for his attack ads flooding the airwaves, guess who put an ad on last week pummeling Gibbons? Yes, indeed.
