Letter: Parking officer’s job is nothing to laugh at

Mike Smith's Aug. 22 cartoon is resented! I believe that portraying a political wannabe - Sheriff candidate Jerry Airola - as a no-talent parking officer is a jab at a job that is difficult and requires many skills.

Having spent five years as a parking enforcement officer in Carmel, Calif., my experience gives me the right to unequivocally say that Mike Smith needs to rethink his slant on that job.
