Letter: Walk in the shoes of disaster victims

I challenge Lee S. Gliddon Jr. to have his Aug. 30 letter, "Katrina could not have been prevented," printed on a sandwich board, and then go to New Orleans and walk through the streets for a week or two.

He can stay in a box in three or four feet of water for the first five days (the length of time that it took the Federal Emergency Management Agency to respond) without food, fresh water or anything except what is on his back. I hope that he enjoys his vacation.
