Signs Spooky corn maze is back
Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 | 7:46 a.m.
For the third year in a row, a Halloween celebration featuring the Broken Spoke Saloon insignia on a 20-acre corn maze opened two weeks ago, on Friday the 13th, to one of the worst thunderstorms in recent history. This week's events included a barbecue and entertainment by the local country music band Marshall Reign to celebrate Nevada Day. Festivities will continue today. The annual event helps promote the planned community of Glendale, which might be two years away. The area's beautiful hilly desert landscape and clean environment will feature affordable homes, a hospital, shopping centers and a school. Visitors to the maze will try to find the center, then find a way out on foot. It will be open today.
