Letter: Gibbons' reputation speaks for itself
I know Jim Gibbons, and he is not that kind of a man. He is a man of integrity, and he is honest and considerate, respectful of others and loves his family deeply.
Letter: Incident shines light on decision-making
Then, instead of calling her a cab, he left her alone to drive on the valley's roads, endangering her and everyone she may encounter. I'm not exactly sure this is the type of insightful decision-making and leadership we need in Carson City.

FLASHPOINT for Oct 24, 2006
You have to give the Democrats credit for melding clever- ness and goofiness. A week before Halloween, the party sent out a release saying "it's spooky" how many GOP scandals there are. Editorial: The candidates we support for the state's lower house
Democrat Marilyn Kirkpatrick, the incumbent in District 1, is known for establishing close contact with her constituents through town hall meetings, newsletters, e-mails, phone calls and personal letters. We like that about her, and we like where she stands on the issues, particularly her support for a greater investment in education. The Sun endorses Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
