A headline in Tuesday's Sun about an audit of the Nevada Education Department incorrectly stated that teachers are rarely given performance evaluations after their first year on the job. As the story said and the headline should have reflected, the audit referred to evaluations of Education Department employees, not school teachers. The Sun regrets the error.
A story in Saturday's Sun said that a lawsuit filed by the police and Culinary unions charged that Clark County Commissioner Lynette Boggs McDonald did not live in her district until Labor Day. In their residency challenge, the unions actually contend that Boggs McDonald had occupied a home outside her district since December, including during the 30 days preceding May 1 - the date on which she filed her candidacy papers. The Sun regrets the error.
