Letter: Democrats not to blame for Bush’s failures

This is in response to Ken Lucas' Sept. 29 letter, where he blames the Democrats for the increase in terrorism by saying the Democratic Party has practically become a public relations firm for Islamic fascism.

Why is it that the Republicans want to blame everything that has happened in the last six years on the Democrats when the Republicans are the party that is in power? The Democrats didn't start the war with Iraq - Bush did!

Also, one would have to be pretty naive to think that the war in Iraq is not helping Islamic extremists to recruit more terrorists. Do you think our National Intelligence Estimate report is incorrect? I don't think so!

Mr. Lucas also said in his letter that the Democrats are calling our leader a liar, a loser, a dictator and a lawbreaker. Well, Mr. Lucas, as sad as it is, that is exactly the persona that he is presenting to the American people.
