Chanos backs City Council
Nevada Attorney General George Chanos declared Friday that the Las Vegas City Council acted prudently last November in reversing its decision to lift a deed restriction that would have allowed Las Vegas developer Bill Walters to build homes in place of his Royal Links Golf Club.
Letter: Bush plan only veils nation's problems
Today the economy seems to be that way in Nevada. But whatever happens in the rest of the country doesn't just stay there - we are only on a time delay. Over the past year, job creation has fallen short of what's required to sustain new employment by 30,000 jobs per month.

Airola on the defensive
Jerry Airola's office is done in stained wood and deep-pile white carpet, with space enough to dwarf its contents, which include a couch, a table, a desk and a Tiffany-style Oakland Raiders lamp with inlaid black glass team insignia.
