FLASHPOINT for Oct 02, 2006

Two presidents in Reno within a week - how important is Northern Nevada? Take that, Dina Titus! A few days after ex-President Jimmy Carter traveled through the North to trash the administration, President Bush is scheduled to arrive today to help Secretary of State Dean Heller raise money. He needs it because his congressional race opponent, Jill Derby, has been pounding him on all manner of topics, including his criticism of those middle-of-the-road senators who wanted a torture compromise. Not to worry. I understand that the president plans to pull out a Derby doll and he and Heller are first going to waterboard the doll and then they are going to stick pins in it. This will take place under a banner: "Torture: We Love It!"
