If you want to know why Republicans win in places like Nevada and, well, Ohio, consider what came to my in box last week. It was a friendly reminder from my good friends at the Republican National Committee to "Please make sure you get your Nevada absentee ballot application by clicking here now. With Nevada providing for more early or absentee voting, it's easier than ever to cast a vote at your convenience." Those helpful RNC folks want to make it convenient for you . And why? RNC boss Ken Mehlman says, "By voting early, you can help decide this election long before Election Day." And isn't that, really, what the Founding Fathers had in mind? I think it's in the Constitution: Vote early so you can get it over with.
