Letter: No escaping airplane noise in Las Vegas
Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006 | 7:42 a.m.
We can ignore those fear mongers who claim that planes making a right turn taking off from McCarran International Airport will be dangerous for those below, because there has never been a commercial jet crash either taking off or landing at this airport. But what does this say about these people, though, who, if they were right, think it is OK for planes to crash on those people in the left turn path?
The fact is that with McCarran, Nellis and the other airports in the Las Vegas Valley, no neighborhood is exempt from plane noise.
So the people in the valley's northwest should either put up with it, or move to Pahrump.
