Letter: R-J’s Frederick has problems with the truth

Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 | 7:38 a.m.

Las Vegas Review-Journal Publisher Sherman Frederick must really hate the truth - he keeps on shading it. The headline on his Sunday column was "Voters like R-J's Ideas." He must have selective amnesia. The R-J had an editorial opposing the minimum wage increase. Fortunately the voters ignored the R-J's advice.

Sherman trying to explain journalism to Brian Greenspun or any of the Greenspuns is analogous to Tom DeLay explaining morality to the pope. He rails against the Las Vegas Sun for smearing Jon Porter and Jim Gibbons but produces no evidence to support his charges. It is Sherman who is the smearer. What a surprise!
