Tuesday's sports page included a list of 34 baseball Hall of Famers who were veterans. It should have said that those named were World War II vets only. It did not include most veterans of World War I (25 including Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker and Christy Mathewson), the Korean War (five including Willie Mays and Ernie Banks) and the Civil War (one, Morgan Bulkeley) enshrined in Cooperstown. The Sun regrets the confusion.
