Letter: CIA nominee another strike against Bush

Gen. Michael Hayden, President Bush's nominee to be the next CIA director, wants to move on and talk about something else.

What a joke. He doesn't want to hear about all of the past screw-ups of our intelligence forces (including 9/11). If there were not so many screw-ups in the past, we would not be looking at this overrated general to replace someone.

There is really something wrong with someone who cannot stand the criticism of his ilk. To suggest that we just accept all of the mistakes of the past, even though I remember Bush saying each of them was the right man for the job, is right from the funny farm. It's always the right man for the job as long as you give Bush unlimited strikes at the ball.

Confirming this guy represents just one more strike in Bush's whiffs at the ball.
