Letter: Reader has his share of dreams as well
Saturday, May 20, 2006 | 7:30 a.m.
In my May 3 newspaper I saw a photo of a sign stating: "I'm an immigrant and I have a dream." I'm a third-generation, American-born citizen, and I also have a dream.
I dream of all illegal Mexican citizens being sent back to their wonderful homeland. I dream when they go they take the following American citizens with them:
The present Republican administration, all die-hard Republican voters, all Republican politicians, all bleeding-heart liberals, all lobbyists, all American career criminals, half the lawyers and, last but not least, all the people who say "latte" instead of "coffee."
When my dreams are accomplished, please dear Lord, break California away from the United States and have Mexico go with it. Nevada could use some ocean-front property. I can dream of the day when my wife and I are lying on the beach at Carson City admiring the Pacific Ocean.
