Letter: Security against terrorism comes first
Sunday, May 14, 2006 | 7:14 a.m.
The Democrats are out of sync with America in expressing their woes about telephone data being collected by the National Security Agency.
Sens. Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, Patrick Leahy and Rep. Nancy Pelosi and her followers display their absolute disdain for the protection of America. Pundits such as Ellis Henican and David Corn are seeking to inflame the minds of liberals and leftists with their constant untruths about the NSA and our president.
It is all about protecting Americans in a time of war against terrorism and nothing less. If a strike were to take place in the USA and later found to be preventable with proper intelligence gathered by the NSA, what would they claim as the failure of the NSA to be? I'd bet they would then take a role opposite to what is being taken now.
For one time, one single time, I wish that these people would join the majority of America in their fight against terrorism and stop their endless power seeking.
