They must be joking. Just tell us it's a bad joke and be done with it. The folks at the Las Vegas Motor speedway are promoting something called The divorcee demolition derby. The aug. 19 event is begging for sponsors and participants for a spectacle where divorced couples pay $500 for the privilege of smashing cars into each other. Oh, dont worry: helmets and suits are provided. The hoods will be emblazoned with the number of years of marriage, with last names painted on the roofs. ex-wives get pink cars; exhusbands get black cars. Tell me this isnt serious. can these people be this sick? I wonder, though: are any legislators getting comped? Or are any participating?
