Letter: Thinking about inflation, debt

Regarding Pierre Llamas' March 17 letter, "Growing debt unfair to America's children":

Mr. Llamas apparently is a relatively young individual.

Those of us who are old enough to remember 5-cent hamburgers, $700 automobiles, $2,000 houses and $21-per-month military pay know full well how the national debt will be paid.

It is known as "government-induced inflation."
