So I see only half of the Chanos family is disgusted with politics. Attorney General George Chanos is out. But his wife, former Consumer Advocate Adriana Chanos, is a co-emcee of an event Thursday sponsored by the Nevada Republican Party. The event features candidates giving speeches to celebrate a "Hispanic Coalition Kick-Off" - an obvious attempt for the GOP to reach out to a constituency the Democrats think they own. Perhaps Adriana Chanos agreed to headline this event before her husband said no mas. The other co-sponsor of the event, ironically, is another promising would-be politician who decided not to make a run - Luis Valera. He's out of politics, too - he works for the Nevada Resort Association.
