Letter: Women should not be granted right to kill
Friday, March 17, 2006 | 7:12 a.m.
Abortion is not an issue of a man keeping "everything in his pants," as M. Beam states in her March 14 letter, which was a response to my husband's March 10 letter, "Babies in womb need protection."
This is an issue of a woman doing what is morally right. Abortion is murder, plain and simple, no matter which way you look at it.
It's about time that the women of Las Vegas and America stand up for their unborn babies. It's time we stood up for the baby crying inside his mother's womb when she makes the decision to kill him! Any woman, who has suffered through a miscarriage, as I have, knows that life is fragile and should be protected at all cost.
Abortion goes against all natural law, not just religious law. It is not natural for a mother to kill her baby. No other species has the ability to abort their baby; why should we be any different? Though we have the capability to do it doesn't make it right. We are supposed to be smarter than that.
Being a mother is a privilege. Being a mother doesn't give you the "right" to do what you want. In the pro-abortion world, that would be the same as saying that a woman should have the "right" to kill her child because she is having a bad day or her children are a burden.
I wish pro-abortionists would complete their slogan of "The right to choose." The slogan ought to read "The right to choose to kill."
Stop the murder of innocent babies - they are our future.
