thought I could hear Gov. Kenny Guinn yelling all the way from Iraq. Imagine his reaction when told of this passage from my colleague Patrick Coolican's piece in the Sun on Attorney General George Chanos: " 'Republicans feel like it was a wasted appointment by the governor,' said Sig Rogich ... 'What it shows is there's no real political acumen in the governor's mansion these days, no political compass ... Specifically, Guinn failed to get a lockdown commitment from Chanos or did not properly vet him,' Rogich said." Could this be Rogich's revenge for Guinn deriding his former intimate a few months back on "Face to Face"? Didn't vet him? As if Chanos was shaky or has skeletons? Your turn, governor.
