Letter: Bush’s acts define the word ‘treason’

Saturday, March 11, 2006 | 7:29 a.m.

Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary defines treason as an "... act of handing over; to hand over, betray - more at traitor..." Traitor is then defined as "... one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty ..."

Since we are a country at war, I believe that President Bush and his political/corporate pals are guilty of acts of treason. The list of incompetent, disastrous decisions that have been made by this administration and the mind-boggling results, so far, speak for themselves.

Each day seems to bring yet another revelation of the ongoing greed and corruption that has torn into the very heart of America, affecting every single one of us.

How much more of America is going to be "sold down the river?" Excuse me, I should have said, "outsourced down the Ganges."
