The Republicans are worried about President Bush's tanking popularity ratings. If you don't believe me, believe one of the highest-ranking GOP leaders in Nevada. State Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio said as much before a Republican women's group in Reno on Thursday. Raggio, hewing to a familiar line, blamed the liberal national media for W's problems. But Sir Bill of Reno also knows a potential political problem when he sees one. It probably won't cost him control of the Legislature's upper house. But Raggio knows if those numbers hold, they could change the results in many races that were thought to be locks for Republicans. Such as the race for Sen. Sandra Tiffany's seat?
