The main reason President Bush should not allow the United Arab Emirates to take over our ports is that they do not recognize Israel. Considering that Israel is the only democratic government in the Middle East would be reason enough.
By allowing the United Arab Emirates to take over our ports would show the Arabs that we agree with their stance on Israel. Is this the message we want to show the world?
