Sergeant-at-arms Ross Ryan of Local 20 in Ohio holds the line with others designated by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as security when tensions rose between members supporting different candidates for general president during the union's weeklong convention Tuesday at Paris Las Vegas. The convention is hosting 7,000 representatives from chapters around the country who will nominate candidates for this November's general election as well as pass resolutions to govern the century-old labor union.
