Letter: Gore’s movie is a must-see for doubters

Everyone who rejects global warming must see Al Gore's movie, "An Inconvenient Truth." Sure, there have been many periods of ice and then warming, but the carbon dioxide measured over 650,000 years by the ice of Antarctica indicates the carbon dioxide is now greater than at any time in history.
The carbon dioxide that took thousands of years to produce now just takes a few years - starting at the start of the Industrial Revolution, but increasing immensely the past 30 years. We are running out of time to stop it.
We are guilty of the sin of being "covetous." Without a livable Earth, what good are gold and silver?
Al Gore would have been a great president, but now I think his main "calling" on this Earth is to alert the world on what lies ahead if action is not taken immediately. Disbelievers, see the movie!
