Letter: People must keep tabs on judges they elect

Thanks to the Las Vegas Sun for Tony Cook's excellent work in his June 17 story, "Jaded justice," exposing a most serious societal problem in Nevada. For years, dedicated legal reformers such as Al DiCicco of Coalition for Family Court Reform and Jon Lane of Nevadans for Equal Parenting, along with our own group, have strived to expose the danger to all citizens by court corruption and to offer reasonable solutions - to little avail.

If we can't trust our courts to fairly and reasonably resolve our differences, what other options do we have? Every thinking person in Nevada should be greatly concerned about this issue.

Judges are simply elected government workers and as such they should be under constant scrutiny and repair must be instigated where needed.
