FLASHPOINT for Jun 15, 2006

So where would you guess President Bush's numbers are in Nevada relative to the rest of the country? Higher? Lower? About average? As it turns out, Bush's numbers in the Silver State are the lowest of any red state. That's according to a poll by Survey USA that was detailed in The Hotline on Wednesday. Bush's approval rating in Nevada is now languishing at 34 percent, which is better than the president is doing in Vermont (25 percent) and Massachusetts (26 percent) but not as robust as he is faring in Idaho (55 percent) and Utah (52 percent). I suppose there are just too many Democrats here, folks? Or could it be that some Republicans in Ely and Elko aren't too thrilled with the president lately?
