FLASHPOINT for Jun 14, 2006

If any of the judges or lawyers think the Los Angeles Times is done with Las Vegas, don't get too complacent. The Times recently installed a new reporter in a Las Vegas bureau and has done a local reaction piece. And I am sure that one outgrowth of the devastating three-part investigative series is that the Times reporters are being deluged with calls and e-mails from frustrated lawyers who want to share their stories. My guess is other stories will be generated that will continue to cause shame and embarrassment for our fair valley. That series was not the end; it surely was, in the Churchillian construction, only the end of the beginning.
