If you think Sen. Harry Reid is trying to temper himself after calling the president a "liar" and a "loser," consider his recent interview with Salon. Reid said that "the intelligence community is run by one person" and he did not mean "the supposed chair" of the Intelligence Committee, Pat Roberts, who he said "can't do anything without (Dick) Cheney." How does Cheney do it? "I guess he won't like them anymore. Maybe he'll use, like he did with (Sen. Pat) Leahy, the F-word." Reid also said Sen. Arlen Specter "caved in like soft cake" on the spying scandal. And, Reid noted, he never liked the idea of impeaching Bush because: "Why would I want Cheney president?" No wonder the bloggers love him.
