Now this is a line you don't see too often in a solicitation for a candidate: "Contributions not expected, but graciously appreciated." And greatly appreciated, too, I'd guess. The line is in a solicitation from District Judge Nancy Saitta, running for the state Supreme Court, for an event tonight. It is billed as "an opportunity to meet Judge Saitta and learn the reasons she deserves your support of her candidacy for the Nevada Supreme Court." And to see her graciously take your money, if you so choose, which would be recommended. Saitta also will be appearing tonight on "Face to Face" to talk about the evisceration of the judiciary by the L.A. Times. I wonder if the TV will be on at her event.
