My new favorite among the too many police groups making endorsements is the Nevada State Law Enforcement Officers' Association, which represents gaming control agents, university police and others. Check out the group's endorsements, accompanied by music: www.nevadaleo.org/Endorsements.html. Notice the embrace of Controller Kathy Augustine, who may be the first impeached official to get the nod from a law enforcement group. Why? It is "based on your dedication to law enforcement, homeland security, law and order, and your distinguished career in public service. We are confident that you will continue to support our common goals." Forget the music. Where's the laugh track?
