With the money and groups behind County Commissioner Myrna Williams, I was surprised to find one prominent law firm - McDonald Carano Wilson - has decided to support her opponent, Assemblywoman Chris Giunchigliani. Why? Said a firm spokesman: "Chris has always been open and honest in working with us at the Nevada Legislature. We strongly feel that she has the passion and energy to meet the many challenges that lie ahead for Clark County. We also appreciate her help with the Southern Nevada Child Abuse Prevention Center." Sounds like Giunchigliani's campaign wrote that, but give the firm points for courage. Just don't give them much of a chance if any lawyers come before the commission soon.
