FLASHPOINT for Jun 03, 2006

Here's a phenomenon that some may not have expected in the wake of the G-Sting convictions: Some guilt by association. And I'm not just talking about the expected tethering of Sen. Harry Reid to Erin Kenny and Dario Herrera. What about belittling endorsements by linking them to G-Sting participants? Take the police union. The Police Protective Association recently announced endorsements in several races. How many people will remember that the PPA once liked Herrera and Kenny? And many labor organizations and other groups will be similarly vulnerable. Why would you brag about their endorsement because they once embraced criminals? I can see it coming, can't you?
