FLASHPOINT for Jul 23, 2006
Sunday, July 23, 2006 | 7:43 a.m.
The outrage is starting to ripple beyond the local humani- tarian community and the dyspeptic ACLU. The Las Vegas City Council's inane ordinance targeting homeless people - you can feed people but not if you determine they're homeless - is being targeted by liberal blogs and columnists around the country. There will be a campaign to contact the council and the convention authority. There will be lawsuits filed to try to block the implementation despite assurances from the city attorney's office, which should have Oscar B. Goodman's name on the door. Yes, the national coverage is coming for Oscar and the Six Dwarfs. It is not publicity they will relish. And my guess is they won't care a whit.
