Letter: Bush’s gift to the right hurts search for cures

President Bush has his priorities mixed up. It's OK to kill thousands of civilians and soldiers in Iraq in order to "spread democracy," but it is wrong to use stem cells for research in order to cure debilitating disease because it's taking a human life.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with serving his conservative and religious base. Is this man for real?

How many people could benefit from this research and how many humans would still be alive if he hadn't invaded a sovereign country? I will always believe this administration thinks more highly of controlling oil than controlling disease.
