FLASHPOINT for Jul 20, 2006
Thursday, July 20, 2006 | 7:28 a.m.
We know what the Republicans were going to use against Dario Herrera (ethics) and Tom Gallagher (carpetbagger) when they ran for Congress against Rep. Jon Porter. But what could the GOP have on Tessa Hafen, this year's Democratic contender? Now we have a clue from a GOP poll taken here this week and designed to sour voters on Hafen. She lived in D.C. and voted here. She favors amnesty. She has worked for politicians for eight years. She has ties to Harry Reid who has ties to Jack Abramoff and loves pork. Give me a break, guys. So this year we get pandering on illegal immigration and guilt by association. So it's OK then to bring up Tom DeLay and Porter's being in politics for two decades? Game on.
