FLASHPOINT for Jul 18, 2006
Tuesday, July 18, 2006 | 7:31 a.m.
If you still don't know there is an election that starts a week from Saturday with early voting, the secret can't be kept much longer. More candidates are scraping together the cash for commercials to get their names out there before the primary. County Commissioner Myrna Williams, embroiled in a nasty race with Assemblywoman Chris Giunchigliani, has a spot running. Soon District Judge Nancy Saitta, trying to get into the general election with Supreme Court Justice Nancy Becker, will be on, too. Others have placed orders and some already have started in the crowded race for sheriff and governor. Pretty soon, you won't be able to watch TV without realizing an election is around the corner.
